Who I Am
December 10, 2011
This was the first song I heard yesterday morning and the last before I went to bed. Amazing how that works out sometimes. I don’t know about you, but I forget what’s important too easily. The day-to-day stress of dealing with people, problems, and pride gets to me more than I like to admit.
I need that reminder of who I am, what I’m doing here, and where He needs to be.
This crazy life isn’t about me. It’s not about you, either. It’s about a God who called us worthy long before we ever were.
It’s about a Savior who didn’t have to give up his place in Heaven. Didn’t have to come here. Didn’t have to suffer and die. But He did. And He did it out of love.
So, forgive me Lord, when I let this life get to me.
Forgive me when I neglect my purpose.
Forgive me when I fail to love.
And please, dear Lord, don’t ever stop reminding me who I am.
