Today
December 30, 2010
I’m not one for New Year’s resolutions. In fact, I do good to get through one day at a time. My recent article at Forthright explains why December 30th is so important to me and how this day should get us one day closer to Jesus.

Good article. Sorry about the reminder this date must be for you. Forthright is a good site. wb
Hi, Paula. I’m Nedra, a member of the Jefferson Street Church of Christ in Petersburg, VA. I first found your writings a few months ago while searching Forthright for articles for our congregation’s bulletin.
I just read your thoughts about the significance of December 30th being the date, several years apart, that each of your parents moved to the next life.
I just wanted to say, thank you. Thank you for having the courage to share your grief, and for the encouraging list of things we, the living, must resolve to do.
In writing this, you’ve done exactly what you encouraged us to do–“encourage God’s people.”
I hope and pray that you’ll be blessed in every way this year and always.
Blessings.
–Nedra Smith
Thank you both for your encouraging words. I appreciate you.
