The Middle

June 24, 2010

Why is it so easy to drift away? One minute we’re on fire for Jesus. Our lives are going perfect, our days are sunny, life is good. Then all of a sudden, we find ourselves far away from where we need to be.

Stress slips in. Doubt takes over. Satan whispers that we’re not good enough. The bills get to us, the kids get on our nerves, our spouse doesn’t measure up, and we start to stray. We walk away from that cross and try to find our peace and comfort in a world that doesn’t have it.

The middle is a dark, lonely place. I’ve been there. Have you?

It’s never too late to come home.

“Fearless warriors in a picket fence, reckless abandon wrapped in common sense. Deep water faith in the shallow end and we are caught in the middle. With eyes wide open to the differences, the God we want and the God who is. But will we trade our dreams for His or are we caught in the middle?”
